6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. a must! By alex levac this is an excellent book, and a must for whoever is interested in death and life in London in the second half of the 17th century.the unemotional and detailed description of life under the horrors of the Plague is beyond imagination.

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Historic gold mine By upcountry Facinating time capsul into Elizebethan times. An authentic reference. Dose not blush at the macabre. The horrors go on and on but the observations are worth it.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. An entertaining and educational fictional piece By D. D. LeDu This is a fictional account, but written from current reports and interviews. Using this method, Defoe has provided an intertaining, flowing account that includes more elements than a single person would likely to have experienced. It flows in the manner of "Robinson Crusoe". I found it educational and consistent with other accounts I have read.
