The mountain girl and her family speak in a mountain dialect. She and her family live in the North Carolina mountains in the early 1900's. I did not have a problem reading this dialect, since I live in a mountainous area of Virginia. A young Doctor, who is ill, comes to the area to be away from the hustle and bustle of a large city practice in Canada. It is a sweet love story and has twists and turns. I highly recommend this book.

You can just about smell the wood stove cooking up some cornbread as you read.
