Fantastic resource to handling your own investing By Kitty Smith As much as I wish I could afford to turn my financial affairs over to a pro, or at least someone with a passion for such things, I am on my own when it comes to money management and investing. I've dabbled in stocks and CDs and various investment ideas over the years but never really had any direction, or much success for that matter.I've picked up a lot of books on personal finance and investing but many of them have my eyes glazed with boredom before the first page is over. That's where this book by Matthew Barnes really stands out. The material is educational and informative, sure, but it's personal too. The delivery is one on one from a man who not only sounds like he knows what he's talking about but feels like someone you could go get a beer with afterwards.I appreciate the emphasis on this being a system of handling and growing money safely, as well as quickly, as opposed to promises of overnight riches. The book takes you through the basics like determining what your retirement goal is and how to set up a retirement fund. He discusses what your best retirement investment options are as well as creating a fun fund and early retirement fund. Then the pace picks up a bit with information on things like leveraged ETFs and individual stocks, IRAs and 401ks, and understanding when it's time to get out. There's a TON of information here but Barnes explains it in a way that's easy to understand. We've already started doing some of what was outlined here and already we can tell it's going to make a big difference for our end game. At the end there's a very handy summary and action steps list that breaks down everything you've learned, and he even has links included for video tutorial walkthroughs. This is a fantastic resource for anyone ready to take control of their investments!

Gray As a relatively new individual to the investing world, I purchased this book due to the perceived authority of the author. Now that I’ve gone over it, I can easily say that it is the exact material I was looking for. This is not some collection of relative information from a layman that just wants your money, oh no, this person is a capable instructor that has lain out otherwise complicated material in a way that even I can digest. The impressive compendium of knowledge covers everything from paper trading and the initial investments all the way to unique opportunities like leveraged trading and how many investments you should attempt to work with. Also, the author shows you how to keep up with your progress and while also remaining calm and focused on what you are doing.Personally, I also downloaded his other book The Wisdom and Peace of Teaching the Tao Te Ching because I thought it was a perfect companion to this material; it definitely is a great primer for remaining calm and not stressing out about your investments. Overall, now that I’ve read this guide I am finally making investments in my future with an understanding of what I’m doing. Prior to this manual, I was entirely at a loss about investing. With this material at my command I now look forward to achieving my retirement goals and overcoming the fear of the unknown. I really couldn’t have asked for more than that.

By My Right Eye This book is a highly informative and insightful book designed to help you get started on the road to investing. I think what I liked most about it is that it is written in a way that is very easy for anyone to understand. I also really appreciate the links within the e-book to the websites where you can set up accounts and get started. The graphics and charts were very helpful for me also in grasping the information. This book provides a wealth of information how you can invest safely and wisely build your investment portfolio. I also like the way the author explained the various investment options. This was very insightful for me. I appreciate the author's style of presenting the information as well. It is in a conversational way that was enjoyable to read and kept me engaged with the subject matter. This book has a lot excellent and relevant information for the beginning investor and you will definitely learn something from this material.
