By Work In Progress Fritz Leiber was one of the greatest science fiction and fantasy writers of the mid-twentieth century. His themes often touched on the ridiculous aspects of our society's mores, and fashions, and often about technology gone wrong. This is a story about a good idea gone astray...you might say with a mind of its own. An executive looking for the next big idea gets a suggestion from his friend, how about something that can remind you about appointments and help you throughout the day? It all starts innocently enough. By the way, if you saw the animated movie "Meet the Robinsons", you might recognize something from here.

The title is a unfortunate since it implies that it's a cheesy horror story rather than a story about technology, but it does make sense if you are a Leiber fan and understand his way with words.

4 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Ever wonder... By Robert L. Bookout What hadn't he glimpsed about the 21st Century some fifty odd years ago...? He got most, including our emerging social network.
