You are not going to get rich that way—at least, not until after you have proved your ability to hold a pretty important position with the firm; and, of course, there is just one place from which a man can start for that position with Graham & Co. It doesn’t make any difference whether he is the son of the old man or of the cellar boss—that place is the bottom. And the bottom in the office end of this business is a seat at the mailing-desk, with eight dollars every Saturday night. I can’t hand out any ready-made success to you. It would do you no good, and it would do the house[...]".

By Don Kidwell ...and that when you're in the wrong you can't afford to lose it." Great book loaded with timeless wisdom from an individual I'd have liked to have met given his no nonsense quips. Comes across as very intelligent (maybe no surprise given his being the editor of the Saturday Evening Post at one time) and includes a very good image gallery at the close with references to the Armor meat-packing company that had me hunting for more info on the internet. Very good book and leave you with one other quote I really liked, "Puttimg off an easy thing makes it hard, and putting off a hard one makes it impossible."

Sure it's old school, but dont let that dissuade you. I docked a star because this particular reprint has an incredibly small typeface/font. Easy to find .pdf downloads, however I wanted a bound copy to give as a gift. This will suffice but not ideal.
