1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Kind of boring... By Michael Valdivielso When I started the story is seemed slow and just got slower. Bud, or Buddy, is a bad tempered, horse racing, angry, young con artist who is asking for trouble. At least that is how I see him. The story is more like a series of events that kind of don't go together and you wonder what the whole point of the story WAS? It makes me wonder why a female author, B. M. Bower, is writing from the point of view of a male character? Why not the female point of view?Zane Grey this is not and, frankly, a bad Zane Grey is better than a good any other western author, including this one.DON'T waste money and TIME on this book. Too bad nobody else had a review on it before me, maybe I could have saved myself the read.
