Joseph A. Altsheler (1862-1919) was born in rural Three Springs of Hart County, Kentucky and became an American reporter. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Altsheler writes a great historical novel! By G. NEWMAN I read Joseph Altsheler's books as a teenager years ago and the memory of his words are fresh as then. You owe it to yourself to read all of his series.

Good stories if you like Native Americans, wars and wilderness. Good for young men...but i am 70 female and i enjoyed them too.
